The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti Engr. Dr. Temitope John Alake has reiterated his zero tolerance for corruption saying that no one is above the law as we must all learn to live within the provisions of the law.
Dr. Alake made this statement during the induction and inauguration of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unity (ACTU) of the Institution on Thursday 18th December, 2025.
Corruption he said is everywhere, as nation builders, we should mould future leaders who will live above board so that we will be proud of them whenever we see them.
The Rector thanked the outgone members of ACTU for doing a good job and noted that the Management have implicate confidence in the current crop of members for their perceived integrity and uprightness , hence they were nominated as members of the Anti-Corruption Unit.
His administration he said is built on fairness, firmness and friendliness as no one will be unduly favoured nor punished as everyone will be accorded equal treatment irrespective of status.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Resident Anti-Corruption Commission for Ondo State who also oversees Ekiti State, Mr. Adewale Adenuga commended the Institution for keying into the mantra of the government to fight corruption to a standstill in the public spheres.
Highlight of the ceremony was the administration of oath of office on members of the Anti-Corruption Unit by the administrator of oath and the legal officer of ICPC, Mr. Adetoye Kehinde.
Members of the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Polytechnic are: Dr. E.V. Olamide, Chairman, Dr. (Mrs.) A.B. Olaoye, Dr. (Mrs.) A.O. Oluwatunsin, Mr. A.A. Faniyi, Dr. I.E. Obabire.
Others are Dr. A.E. Adetoro, Mr. S.O. Makinde, Mrs. F.C. Ezike and Barr. O.A. Babalola, Secretary/ Member.
