FPA to Partner Ekiti Innovation Hub

The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti is to partner the “Ekiti Knowledge Zone” to enhance the practical research capacity and digital skills of its staff and students.

The Rector of the institution Engr, Dr. Temitope John Alake made this known when the chairman of the ‘Hub’ Dr. Emmanuel Adewunmi and his management team paid a courtesy visit to the Rector.

Dr. Alake who was represented on the occasion by the Deputy Rector Administration said the institution is ever ready to collaborate and give all necessary support as the polytechnic is richly endowed with human capacity to meet up with any form of challenge.

Dr. Adewunmi noted that the objective of the ‘Hub’ is to build partnership, promote innovation, practical research entrepreneurship and skill acquisition through the training of students on the use of Artificial Intelligence, Coding and Problem-Solving Skills as modern education goes beyond classroom.

Another objective of the ‘Hub’ he said is to be involved in research development initiative for staff and lecturers. As this would help the institution achieve its goals faster through showed experiences, “The purpose of partnership is to help us achieve our aims through collaboration as Ekiti is known for knowledge and Education, hence innovation must be encouraged”, he further remarked.

The Directors of the Centre for Research Innovation and Development (CRID), Dr. Charles Ologunde, The Director, Centre for Skills Acquisition Dr. Wande Fajilade both noted that the collaboration will be of immense benefit to the two parties.
