FPA Staff Commended For Peaceful Atmosphere
Staffers of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti have been commended for their commitment cum dedication to duty and the clement atmosphere, which is prevailing in the citadel of learning.
This commendation was given by the Rector, Engr. Dr. Temitope John Alake at the Congregation meeting of the Institution held on Thursday 5th June, 2025.
Dr. Alake noted that the serene atmosphere on Campus is a welcome development that will ginger progress and prosperity for all. “This Campus has continued to witness peace and tranquility despite its multi farious challenges”.
The Rector informed the Congregation that the Governing Council at its last meeting emphasized its commitment to staff welfare and promised to continue to improve on it, “as it will continue to occupy the front burner in the scheme of things, no one will be denied his /her legitimate right, whatever is due anyone will be given, Dr. Alake stated”.
Speaking further, he said a reward system has been put in place to reward all staff and students who have made the Institution proud. Some of our staff has brought glory to the Institution through their innovations which have been patented and our students have been champions for three consecutive years at the All Polytechnic games.
He further clarified that the last tranche of the inherited debt of over 1.2 billion naira has been cleared by the Management, this he said has been as a result of the prudent management of resources, the cost effective measures and the cutting of waste policies put in place by his administration.
He further enjoined all staff to positively impact the lives of the students who have been kept in their care as all will be adequately rewarded in due course.
Dr. Alake further informed that money will be released in due course to all departments for their consumables and implored all to use the money for the purpose for which it will be released.
Various speakers at the Congregation meeting commended the Rector and his Management team for prioritizing the welfare of the staff and students and further implored him to continue to champion the welfare of all.
The Congregation is the general assembly of all the graduate staff of the Polytechnic comprising of all academic and Non-Teaching personnel with the Rector as the chairman of the Congregation.
