ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES RESUME AT THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ADO-EKITI ON MONDAY, 18TH JANUARY, 2021
The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti has announced Monday, 18th of January, 2021 for resumption of Academic activities in the Institution.
A Circular dated 15th January, 2021 and signed by the Registrar, Mrs Kehinde Ekanem, indicated that the resumption of Academic activities was consequent upon the directive from the Federal Ministry of Education.
It directed all members of the Polytechnic Community to comply strictly with all COVID-19 protocols that have been put in place to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the Institution.
According to the Circular addressed to the Polytechnic Community, all Stakeholders were requested to observe the following protocols:
(i) compulsory wearing of face-masks by all students and staff (Academic and Non Teaching);
(ii) submission to temperature checks and use of hand washing and sanitisation facilities placed at strategic locations across the two campuses of the Polytechnic;
(iii) Avoidance of overcrowding, including classrooms and Offices;
(iv) Adherence to all other non-pharmaceutical protocols, restrictions and containment measures as may be prescribed/approved by the PTF from time to time.
The Registrar emphasized that the measures were put in place to ensure safe reopening of the Institution for Academic activities and would be subject to review from time to time as situation in the country might demand.
