Commendation Service in Honour of Late Pastor Emmanuel Ayodeji Fakunle as His Burial Obsequies Hold This Week
A commendation service in honour of the Late Pastor. Emmanuel Ayodeji Fakunle , who until his death a staff member in the Department of Civil Engineering, would be held at the Polytechnic on Thursday, 28th October, 2021 between 10:00am and 12noon.
The commendation service holding under the aegis of the polytechnic Christian community will hold at the New Multipurpose Hall from 10.00am on Thursday 28th October, 2021 to herald the burial activities of the deceased former lecturer at the department of Civil Engineering.
Also, to be held on the same day at the Ado Ekiti residence of the deceased Staff and Cleric, is the Christian Wake Service , just as his remains would be committed to mother earth at 9.00am on Friday, 29th October 2021, before the outing/ thanksgiving service at the same venue, behind the C.E.C satellite campus in the precinct of Fabian Hotel in Ado-Ekiti.
It would be recalled that, the deceased joined the services of the Federal Polytechnic on 27th April, 1992 as a Lecturer 11 in the department of Civil Engineering. He was in the same year appointed the Acting Head, Department of Civil Engineering and got elevated to the position of Lecturer 1 in 1993.
Earlier, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. D.H Oladebeye had as a mark of respect and honour to the departed, paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the Polytechnic.
Dr. Oladebeye, who was represented by the Chairman, Committee of Deans and Dean, of the School of Engineering, Dr. Oluwatoyin Adeosun, sympathized with the family as he also recounted the good deeds of the deceased, stating that Engineer Fakunle had laid a good legacy of faithfulness for all to follow the Rector furher the Late Fakunle as a very dedicated Staff given his antecedents as a caring husband, a doting father, a loving brother, uncle and a compassionate colleague to members of his family and occupational groups.
He also affirmed that the Late Emmanuel A. Fakunle would be remembered for his commitment and unflinching contributions to the development of his department and the polytechnic at large.
The team on the condolence visit also offered prayers to the family and colleagues of the deceased for comfort and forbearance to the bear the irreparable loss.
Responding to the soothing words of the condolence letter and message delivered, widow of the deceased, Mrs. Helen Oluwafunmilayo Fakunle appreciated the gesture of the Polytechnic through the visit and gave indication that the funeral rites of her late husband would hold at Ado Ekiti on 28th and 29th October, 2021.
The deceased, staffer of 29years in the polytechnic was survived by his wife and three children, among other relatives.
