FPA Gets Substansive Librarian

A new Substantive Polytechnic Librarian has been appointed for the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti in person of Mrs. Margaret Oluyemisi Abifarin.

Mrs. Abifarin appointment follows her success at the interview conducted for Applicants and the ratification of her appointment by the Governing Council of the Institution.

The Polytechnic Librarian joined the services of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti in 2013 as a Principal Librarian cum Serial Librarian and rose to the position of a Chief Librarian in 2020.

Before joining the services of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Mrs. Abifarin had worked in several places as a Librarian, amongst which is the Kwara State Polytechnic, llorin where she held different positions culminating in her appointment as acting Polytechnic Librarian.

Mrs. Abifarin who is widely published in Local and International Journals holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ilorin, a Masters degree in Library, Archival and Information Studies from the University of Ibadan and has completed her course work and presently at Pre-Field level of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D) in Library and Information Science at Adeleke University Ede, Osun State. She is a Chartered Professional Librarian, has attended several conferences and workshops and won awards on ethical good conduct and fellowship. She is happily married with Children.
