ADMISSION TO NATIONAL DIPLOMA MORNING PROGRAMME FOR THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications for Screening of Credentials are hereby requested from interested applicants who wrote the 2020/2021 UTME and chose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti or are willing to change to the Institution as 1st choice.

(A) ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

(i) All applicants who chose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti and obtained a Minimum Acceptable Mark (MAM) of 150 in the 2020/2021 UTME.

In addition to the above, applicants must possess five (5) O’ level subject requirements at Credit level in not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB.

(ii) Any applicant applying with NABTEB (NTC) for Courses in the School of Engineering (SOE), must in addition to the five (5) O’level in (i) above possess a core subject from the Trade Related Area (TRA), and not Book Keeping, Commerce, Principles of Accounts, or Secretariat Studies etc. While applicants applying for Business related Courses can use NABTEB (NBC). For avoidance of doubt, NABTEB Business Certificate (NBC) is not accepted in the School of Engineering.

(iii) Applicants who scored 150 and above in the last UTME but did not choose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti as 1st changing to the Institution can do so.

The subjects must include:

1. English Language;
2. Mathematics;

4. Chemistry;
5. Any one (1) of the followings:
Biology, Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Crop Production,Tractor Mechanics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Engine Maintenance Machine, Transmission System, Statistics, Geography, Economics, Data Processing/ICT/ Computer Studies. OR

b) Agricultural TechnologyThe Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Agricultural Technology are Five (5) Credit passes in not more that two (2) sittings in either West African School Certificate, Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary level, National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB - National Technical Certificate).

The subjects must include:

1 English;
2 Mathematics;
3 Chemistry;
4 Any one (1) of the following:
Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry /Fisheries.
5 Plus any one (1) of the following:
Economics, Geography, Statistics, Physics, Civic Education/Government, Computer/ICT/Data Processing.
NABTEB - National Technical Certificate/General Education in the relevant courses is also acceptable.

NOTE: Only NABTEB (National Technical Certificate) would be accepted for admission and not NABTEB (National Business Certificate)

6. (B) ADMISSION FORM GUIDELINES

Application Form

(I) Applicants should visit the Student Portal and click on applicants to generate and print application payment invoice.

(ii) Upon printing of invoice, applicants can proceed to any bank of their choice along side the invoice generated and make payment of ₦2, 000.00 on the Remita Platform.

(iii) Applicants can also make payment with their debit card (Master Card, Visa Card and Verve Card) following the instructions on the invoice generation page. (Note: before payment with debit card, print your Invoice)

(iv) After payment, applicants should revisit the School Portal and fill their screening forms using the RRR number on the payment invoice (slip). The invoice and the RRR must be in the applicant’s name.

(v) Applicants should endeavour to print their acknowledgement slip and screening forms.

ADMISSION TO NATIONAL DIPLOMA EVENING PROGRAMME FOR THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for admission to The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti National Diploma Evening Programme for the 2020/2021 Academic Session leading to the award of National Diploma.

(A) GENERAL INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

(i) All applicants who chose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti but did not obtain a Minimum Acceptable Mark (MAM) of 150 in the 2020/2021 UTME can apply.
In addition to the above, applicants must possess five (5) O’ level relevant subject requirements at Credit level including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB.

(ii) Any applicant applying with NABTEB (NTC) for Courses in the School of Engineering (SOE), must in addition to the five (5) O’level in (i) above possess a core subject from the Trade Related Area (TRA), and not Book Keeping, Commerce, Principles of Accounts, or Secretariat Studies etc. While applicants applying for Business related Courses can use NABTEB (NBC). For avoidance of doubt, NABTEB Business Certificate (NBC) is not accepted in the School of Engineering.

(iii) Applicants who scored below 150 in the last UTME but did not choose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti as choice Institution can also apply.

(B) METHOD OFAPPLICATION

The application is in two (2) stages viz:

STAGE 1

Log on to JAMB CAPS website and register via https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility.

You need a valid E-mail Address, Phone Number and the sum of ₦3,500:00 payable to JAMB through Remita. This will enable you obtain a JAMB Registration Number.

STAGE 2

(i) Applicants should visit the Student Portal and click on applicants to generate and print application payment invoice.

(ii) After clicking on applicants, click on generate invoice, next click the drop-down menu under PROGRAMME and select ND EVENING; next, click on the drop-down menu under COURSE to select your desired course of choice; afterwards, enter required personal details; then, click generate invoice.

(iii) Upon printing of invoice, applicants can proceed to any bank of their choice along side the invoice generated and make payment of ₦11,500.00 on the Remita Platform.

(iv) Applicants can also make payment with their debit card (Master Card, Visa Card and Verve Card) following the instructions on the invoice generation page. (Note: before payment with debit card, print your Invoice).

(v) After payment, applicants should revisit the School Portal and fill their application forms using the RRR number on the payment invoice (slip). The invoice and the RRR must be in the applicant’s name.

2.0 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should possess:

2.1 (i) National Diploma (ND) with at least Lower Credit in the Course/Programme of choice and five (5) relevant Credits including English Language and Mathematics at the SSCE/NECO/GCE or NABTEB O’Level in not more than two (2) sittings.

2.2 A minimum of one (1) year post ND cognate work experience (Industrial Training) in addition to 2.1.

However, applicants with PASS grade at the National Diploma (ND) must have minimum of two (2) years post ND cognate work experience.

3.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants seeking for admission to The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti are required to complete the Institution’s application form available online from Monday, 17 August, 2020.

4.0 ADMISSION FORM GUIDELINES

5.0 SUBMISSION OF FORMS

Get Your Results Verified with Ease

 

Step 1: Make a formal request to the Registrar of the Polytechnic. The request should contain the following details:

The address of your organization (including E-mail address) making the request

The name and phone number of the person making the request on behalf of the organization

A photocopy of the statement of result or certificate to be verified is attached to the application/request for verification.

Step 2: Attach evidence of payment of the approved fees for the verification. The approved fees for verification of the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma statement of results respectively are N5,000 (with or without transcript). The fee is N10,000 for both (with or without transcripts).

Five thousand Naira (N5,000) for ND result with or without Transcript.

Five thousand Naira (N5,000) for HND results with or without Transcript.

Ten thousand Naira (N10,000) for ND and HND results.

Step 3: Make the payment through Remita into the Polytechnic Reference account with the following code: 1000060528.

Step 4: Send your request to the email address verification.reg@fedpolyado.edu.ng. The verification process will begin promptly, and the outcome of the verification will be communicated to you via email.
