Foundation for the Health Centre Annex Facility laid at CEC
In its efforts to uphold the inflow of students for improved academic work, the Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti has embarked on the construction of the Engr. D.H Oladebeye Health Centre in its Continuing Education Centre (CEC) in order to cater for the wellbeing of the students and staff.
The Rector, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye, who was on ground to lay the foundation stone of the Health Centre Annex on Friday, 23rd July 2021, noted that the project marks another milestone in the history of the Polytechnic as it would meet the primary health demands of the students and staff at the CEC.
Dr. Oladebeye also stated that the Health Centre Annex would help to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and create awareness for both staff and students on the importance of sound health practices. He expressed his appreciation to the Dean of the centre for the gesture of naming the facility after him and prayed for its successful completion in no distant time.
Earlier at the foundation laying ceremony, the Dean of the Continuing Education Centre (CEC), Dr. Abayomi Olorunisola appreciated the management of the Institution for deeming it fit to approve the construction of the Engr. D.H Oladebeye Health Centre even at such crucial period.
Dr. Olorunisola, who stated that the project was conceived in order to address the safety and emergency needs of the students, added that when the project is finally completed, an annex housing the health centre and administrative offices for staff would have emerged.
