The Rector, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye has expressed the readiness of the Polytechnic to collaborate and synergise with other Sister Institutions of the Federal Government to move the Institution forward.
Dr. Dayo Oladebeye gave the hint while playing host to the Ekiti State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mr. Solomon Iyamu on Thursday, 28th June, 2018, in his office.
The Rector who appreciated the NSCDC Boss for finding time to visit the Polytechnic said the Polytechnic was ever ready to partner the Corps in its quest to achieve its core mandates of protecting lives and property of the citizens of Nigeria.
Earlier, in his remark the NSCDC boss, who led other top officers of the command to the Polytechnic, had informed that the NSCDC was set up by the Federal Government to primarily protect Federal Government national assets, which included the Polytechnic. He expressed the readiness of the NSCDC in Ekiti State to extend its security network to the Institution with a view to halting the infiltration of violent crimes into the Polytechnic by providing proactive intelligence gathering among others.
He also noted that the NSCDC would like to partner the Institution in the fabrication of security gadgets like shields, bullet proof vests and so on.
While showering encomiums on the Rector, the Mr. Iyamu specifically appreciated the open-door policy administration of the Rector, describing him as a leader with a purpose to excel.
Responding, the Rector, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye further thanked the NSCDC boss for coming to the Polytechnic. He said the Polytechnic would be ever ready to lend support in the areas of fribrication of security equipment to facilitate the smooth running of the operations of the NSCDC in Ekiti State.
