A B Complex Commissioned
It was all pomp and pageantry as the Academic Board Complex of the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti whose sod of construction was laid about 15 years ago was on Monday 21st August 2023 commissioned by the Chairman of the 11th Governing Council, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo.
The very brief but colorful ceremony witnessed the creme de la creme of the institution in attendance, which was described as the determination of faith.
At the commissioning, Akogun Oyedepo emphasized the need for every administration to be continuous, especially in the area of project completion.
The building, he said would have been useless if not completed and a lot of things would have been lost.
Akogun Oyedepo while appreciating all those who ensured the project’s completion, urged would-be users to use it well for the sake of posterity.
Earlier in his remarks, the Rector, Dr Temitope John Alake appreciated God, the chairman of the 11th Governing Council, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo for making the completion of the project possible.
He further appealed to the Polytechnic Community to join hands “in our own little ways to play our role in reaching the hall mark of excellence”.
He especially appreciated the efforts of the Director, Physical Planning, Engr Tunde Omoleye and his team for a job well done.
The commissioning was followed by a facility tour of the complex.
Similarly, Akogun Oyedepo, the Rector , Dr Temitope John Alake and other dignitaries also made an on the spot visit to the ongoing construction of the students hostel at the Abuja axis of the Polytechnic
The hostel which is 95% completed on completion is expected to accommodate about 200 students
