CRID PRESENTS 3RD BIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The 3rd Biennial International Conference organised by the Centre for Research, Innovation and Development (CRID) of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti will formally take off on Tuesday, 22nd June, 2021.
The Conference with the theme: “Scientific and Technological Approaches to Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic and its Socio-Economic Challenges” will be held by physical and largely virtual mode in keeping to the precautions for the prevalent global COVID-19 challenge.
The conference, which is expected to draw participants from all walks of life nationally and internationally, will equally serve as an avenue for exposition of laudable research activities and exhibition of the Institution’s research products among others.
Scheduled to provoke discussion on the theme“ Scientific and Technological Approaches to Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic and its Socio-Economic Challenges” are very resourceful and erudite scholars from the academia, who will be delivering informative and educative presentations.
The keynote speaker is Prof. Boniface Kayode Alese from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Department of Cyber Security, who will be clarifying issues on the general theme of the conference.
The Lead paper presenters include Prof. Johnson K. Adesodun, Rector of the Ekiti State College of Agriculture and Technology, Isan-Ekiti.
Other Lead paper presenters who are academic staff of The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti are: Dr. Olapade Olalusi of the Department of Building Technology; Dr. Luke Oluwagbuyi of the Department of Accountancy and Dr. Akim A.G. Olorunnisola of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and current Dean of the Continuing Education Centre in the Polytechnic.
Expected as the Royal father of the event is HRM, Oba (Dr.) Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, the Olowa of Igbara-Oke Kingdom, Igbara-Oke, Ondo State, while Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye is the Chief Host.
A statement by the Director of CRID, Dr. Kolade Adu and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Dr. Kayode Akintoye urged all participants at the opening ceremony, which holds physically and virtually to observe all rules and regulations about COVID-19 precautions.
