Ekanem, Two Others Appointed Directors, As FPA Gets Servicom Directorate
A new Directorate, the Directorate of Servicom and Social Responsibility has been created with Mrs Kehinde O. Ekanem the immediate past Registrar of the Institution appointed as the pioneer Director for a period of two years following her completion of tenure as the Registrar.
Also, a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Electronics, Dr. Olusola. A. Akinsanya has been appointed as the substantive Director of the Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for Engineering and Innovation (OOCEI) for a period of two years with effect from 1st January, 2024 upon expiration of Engr. Ebenezer R. Adefidipe’s tenure who has been the Director in Acting capacity since 1st November, 2020.
Mrs. M.O.F. Faluyi has also been appointed as the Director, Academic Affairs for a period of two years with effect from 31st December, 2023 owing to the expiration of tenure of Mrs. A.Y. Adewumi as the Director.
The Rector appreciated the outgone Director’s for their laudable contributions, commitment and forthrightness to duties and hoped that they will continue to provide quality services in other positions of leadership assigned to them, while wishing the new Director’s a successful tenure, hoping that they will acquit themselves creditably to justify the confidence reposed in them.
In the same vein, Engr. Alaba James Ojo has been appointed as the Sub-Dean, Continuing Education Centre for a period of two years upon expiration of tenure of Dr. Isaac O. Ajao with retroactive effect from 12th December, 2023.
Dr. Ajao was also appreciated for his laudable achievements during his tenure as Sub-Dean, while also hoping he continues to provide such quality services in other positions assigned to him.
In another development, the Rector in furtherance of the mandate of service has reconstituted the Servicom committee with the Terms and Objectives to include providing quality services to students, staff and other stakeholders, to ensure good and responsive leadership at all levels, to provide comprehensive and effective training policy for frontline staff on customer relations and related matters, among other.
