Resumption of academic activities for the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic session which was earlier slated to commence on Sunday 6th January, 2019 has been postponed till Sunday, 20th January, 2019.
The postponement followed a review of the State of the nation, at a brief meeting held on Wednesday, 2nd January, 2019, which brought about the revision of the Calendar of academic activities for the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic session.
A statement by the Institution’s Director of Public Relations, Ade Adeyemi-Adejolu indicated that the postponement of the commencement of academic activities for the ND I, HND I and II as well as ND II (Non SIWES) Students was occasioned by a review of the State of the nation with regards to the ongoing ASUP Strike, among others issues considered.
However, despite the postponement of full resumption of academic activities from Monday, 7th January to Monday, 21st January, 2019, Part Time students as well as all Full Time Fresh Students are expected to continue with their screening and clearance processes in confirmation of their admission status pending the commencement of academic activities as from Monday, 21st January, 2019.
The Statement advised the fresh Students to take advantage of the postponement of lectures to conclude their admission and registration formalities, while returning Students are to await further instructions subject to the emerging situation on the State of the Nation.
Meanwhile, the Part Time ND/HND Students of year II and III have been directed to continue their registration formalities unfailingly from Monday, 7th January, 2019.
