The Rector, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye has described the relationship existing between the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti and The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti as one that is mutually beneficial.
Dr. Oladebeye made this declaration during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the collaboration with the University for ‘Top up’ degree programme to be mounted in the Polytechnic.
The Rector, alongside some other Principal Officers who accompanied him, signed on behalf of the Polytechnic and stated that the signing of the MOU will further cement the cordial relationship existing between the two Institutions, as they stand to benefit a lot from each other.
On his part, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, who signed alongside other Principal Officers of the University noted that the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti belled the cat as the first Institution to sign such an MOU with his Institution in view of myriad of requests.
The University, he said being a very young Institution stands to benefit more in the collaboration through avenues such as practical training of its students in the field of engineering, since the Polytechnic has been in existence for over four decades.
The University, he emphasized was ready to offer quality service to the Polytechnic and believed that “the signing of the MOU is an indication of our existing relationship between the two institutions.”
