Olorunoje to Deliver 24th Obiakor Lecture On Thursday, 18th August, 2022

All is now set for the 24th edition of the Late Prof. E.K. Obiakor Inaugural Lecture series of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti which will be delivered on Thursday, 18th August 2022 by a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Building Technology and immediate past Deputy Rector Administration, Builder, Garba Saadu Olorunoje.

The inaugural speaker, who will speak on the topic: “Building Collapse in Nigeria: The Unending Phenomenon” had twice served respectively as Head of Department and Dean of the School of Environmental Studies among other positions before becoming the Deputy Rector Administration of the Polytechnic in July 2018.

Bldr. G.S. Olorunoje joined the services of the Polytechnic as a Lecturer III in 1986 and rose through the ranks to become a Chief Lecturer in Building Technology with effect from January 2005. 

It would be recalled that the Prof. E.K. Obiakor Lecture Series was initiated in June 2001 as the Polytechnic’s version of the Universities’ Inaugural Lecture Series, but named after the founding Rector, the Late Professor Edward Kanu Obiakor, who administered the Polytechnic in its formative years between January 1977 and December 1985.

The Lecture Series, which offers an opportunity for accomplished Chief Lecturers of the Polytechnic to elucidate and profess their contributions to knowledge in their respective fields, had before now been delivered by twenty-three Chief Lecturers of the Polytechnic in sixteen different fields of Learning and Technology.

Since 12th June 2001 when Mr. O.O. Makanju the now retired Chief Lecturer in Food Technology, blazed the trail of the Lecture Series, the 24th edition to be delivered by Bldr. S.G. Olorunoje is the first in the field of Building Technology but the second from the School of Environmental Studies.

All members of the Polytechnic Community and the general public are duly welcome to the presentation and they are expected to, please be punctually seated by 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, 18th August 2022.

Get Your Results Verified with Ease

 

Step 1: Make a formal request to the Registrar of the Polytechnic. The request should contain the following details:

The address of your organization (including E-mail address) making the request

The name and phone number of the person making the request on behalf of the organization

A photocopy of the statement of result or certificate to be verified is attached to the application/request for verification.

Step 2: Attach evidence of payment of the approved fees for the verification. The approved fees for verification of the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma statement of results respectively are N5,000 (with or without transcript). The fee is N10,000 for both (with or without transcripts).

Five thousand Naira (N5,000) for ND result with or without Transcript.

Five thousand Naira (N5,000) for HND results with or without Transcript.

Ten thousand Naira (N10,000) for ND and HND results.

Step 3: Make the payment through Remita into the Polytechnic Reference account with the following code: 1000060528.

Step 4: Send your request to the email address verification.reg@fedpolyado.edu.ng. The verification process will begin promptly, and the outcome of the verification will be communicated to you via email.
