POLYTECHNIC GRADUATES ARE ESSENTIAL TO POLYTECHNIC EDUCATION
The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti Alumni Association, (FEDPAAA) has donated a sum of Five Million Naira to its Alma Mata in support of the repair of damages caused by the recent rain storm.
The National President of the Association, Surv. Abiodun Oyedokun who made this known in an interview with members of the Press in his office, noted that the havoc wrecked by the rainstorm on the Polytechnic properties run into several millions of naira but no life was lost.
Surv. Oyedokun commended the Rector of the Institution, Dr. Temitope John Alake who since assumption has kept the Polytechnic running peacefully without crisis. He added that the new innovations he has introduced into the system is yielding good result.
The National President also appreciated the Alumni body worldwide for their financial support and charged them to keep the flag flying, make themselves relevant in their respective fields so as to show the world the stuff they are made of.
Surv. Oyedokun who noted that government alone cannot do the job, appealed to other members of the Association to be committed to adding value to the system, as it was part of the mandate of the Alumni Body to contribute its quota to the development of the Institution when the need arises.
He maintained that Polytechnic graduates are essential asset to Polytechnic education as they are crucial to meeting the needs, aspirations and development of the diverse economy and industries in the Country.
The National President appealed to the government to provide necessary funding for the Polytechnic and to support in the area of modern training equipment. He further advocated for the elimination of the dichotomy between HND and
