The evaluation team, which observed that the Polytechnic campus is relatively large and deserved being upgraded to a University status, also commended the good use and management of the available physical infrastructure even as the Team Leader affirmed the need for more infrastructure, noting that this will further contribute to the productivity of manpower and efficacious quality service delivery.

Mrs. Zack-Ukoh further implored the Management of the Institution to devise a documented system of monitoring with regular evaluation of the efficiency of the Polytechnic’s workforce, as well as putting in place students’ feedback mechanism.

She also charged the SERVICOM Committee to intensify staff sensitisation about SERVICOM activities and equally suggested to the management to have a waiting area, a kind of general reception at the foyer of the administrative building.

In his response, Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye expressed delight at the SERVICOM’s Team’s visit and was optimistic that their visit to the Institution will be of immense benefits to the development paradigm of the Polytechnic.

Dr. Oladebeye however, implored the visiting team to use their good offices to raise succour for the Institution as the Polytechnic is confronted with a myriad of needs, chief of which is poor-funding by the Government.

The Rector had emphasised that it has been the priority agenda of his administration to actualize a befitting good road network as well as a stable and hitch-free internet service, among other infrastructure, but attainment of the vision, he however noted is assailed by dwindling funds.

While appreciating the SERVICOM team’s visit, the Ag. Nodal Officer and Chairman of SERVICOM Committee in the Polytechnic, Dr. Nnamdi Aboloma thanked members of the visiting team for coming to the Institution as partners-in-progress.

He assured that the implementation of their recommendations would be given utmost priority attention and charged them to always remain partners-in-progress for a symbiotic relationship.
